This is a great beginner project.
 
You can print on wax paper or copy paper. NOTE: Print on an 8.5 x 11inch sheet. When printing, it might prompt you by saying it is out of range, that is fine because the pattern was made to accomodate an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet. 
 
AGE GROUP: 8 and above
DIFFICULTY: Beginner sewists - some sewing experience needed.
PREREQUISITE: Recommended for someone who is familiar with a sewing machine. If you're not, then be sure to take our Introduction to Sewing Class prior to taking on this project.
 
To be successful, you should be able to properly sew simple stitches using your sewing machine.
Materials needed:
Sewing machine
Pattern (see pattern pieces to determine how many pieces of fabric you will need to cut)
1 Fat quarter
1 inch wide elastic (12-inches long for an ipad mini and 10-inches long for an 8.5inch long notebook)
Light weight fusible interfacing (cut 1/4 inch smaller than the main piece on pattern) https://amzn.to/3Or1Tos
Scissors
Sewing clips or pins
Sewing machine
Iron and ironing board (optional)
