Virtual Intro to Hand Sewing - 1 on 1

Service Description

DURATION: 45 minutes AGE GROUP: 9 yrs and above Difficulty: Easy - No prior sewing experience is required. ***US BASED ONLY***This course is appropriate for students aged 9 yrs and above*** This course will teach basic skills for hand sewing. It is the perfect place to start if you want to learn to hand sew. This is a 45-minute classes. During the first 10-minutes we will do introductions and review the lesson plan. The last 10-minutes will be spent answering questions or assisting students who may have fallen behind. This class is for students who are just beginning to learn to hand sew and have no prior experience. At the conclusion of the class, each student should be able to: * Thread a needle * Knot a threaded needle * Identify basic stitches and when to use them * Hand sew a basic stitch, a chain stitch, a split stitch NOTE: This is an individual one on one virtual course to ensure you get the full benefits of the course. You will need: Pen and paper to write on The class printouts (will be emailed upon registration) A pair of scissors Thread Hand sewing needles 4 X 4 piece of cotton fabric for practice Working computer with an internet connection and a camera so I can view progress NOTE: You can purchase a full sewing kit here:https://www.isewwithjoy.com/product-page/sprout-kit-library-card-purse REMINDER: *** Please arrive in time for class. Class will start and end on time. *** A parent should be close by incase minor set up assistance is needed. No refunds will be issued after class has begun.
