TIME: 4pm - 5pm ET DURATION: 60 minutes AGE GROUP: 9 yrs and above Difficulty: Easy - No prior sewing experience is required. ***US BASED ONLY***This course is appropriate for students aged 9 yrs and above*** This course will teach basic skills for operating a sewing machine. It is the perfect place to start if you want to learn to sew. This is a 60-minute classes. During the first 10-minutes we will do introductions and review the lesson plan. The last 10-minutes will be spent answering questions or assisting students who might have fallen behind. This class is for students who are just beginning to learn to sew with a sewing machine and/or have no prior experience. At the conclusion of the class, each student should be able to: * Identify basic sewing machine parts and what they do * Be able to do a simple straight stitch and other basic stitches * Complete your first sewing project NOTE: This is a virtual group class for up to 4-students (minimum of 2). Please ensure all students register or the class will be cancelled the day before if only one person has registered. Cost is $35 per student. You can register up to the day before the day of the class to allow time for proper planning. You will need: A sewing machine Pen and paper to write on The class printouts (will be emailed upon registration) A pair of scissors Thread Bobbin 8 X 8 piece of cotton fabric for practice Working computer with an internet connection and a camera so I can view progress NOTE: You can purchase a full sewing kit here: https://www.isewwithjoy.com/product-page/sewing-kit REMINDER: *** You must have a full size sewing machine and its manual handy prior to class *** A parent should be close by incase minor set up assistance is needed. No refunds will be issued after class has begun.
